"Nose to tail traffic" takes on an altogether different meaning here in rural Ireby, which is a traditional Cumbria farming village with two pubs, a shop and a post office, wonderful scenery and little traffic - what more does one need? |
| IREBY
Ireby nestles peacefully in the beautiful area called "Back of Skiddaw". It is the perfect base from which to visit the northern Lakeland fells, explore the Solway coast, visit Hadrian's Wall or take a trip across the border to Dumfries and Galloway. Apart from the walking, climbing , bird watching and magnificent scenery, we have within easy reach of Woodlands a number of the finest golf courses in the north of England. WOODLANDS COUNTRY HOUSE a lovely former Victorian vicarage dating back to the 1880's which has recently been imaginatively re-furbished to reflect its heritage.
